Mother's Day-Part Two

Before I get started on how we spent Mother's Day, I have to say that this pretty lady was missed dearly today. We know she had a glorious Mother's Day in Heaven today with her mother. I can only imagine how wonderful that was for Maw.

Today Grandma and Grandpa came over for an afternoon snack of strawberry cheesecake and coke floats. The girls enjoyed giving Grandma all her "surprises" and swimming with Grandpa!!
Eating our snacks with grandma!!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for spending the afternoon with us. We love you dearly!

Mother's Day--Part One

Gracie gave me an early Mother's Day gift. She got some flowers for she and I to plant together. How sweet is that? We spent the afternoon planting them, watering them and praying that they don't die. HA!! They are planted in a planters box right outside our front door. Now the mail lady will have something pretty to look at when she delivers our mail!!

Swine Break

Well, due to the 'swine flu' our district got a nice little end-of-the-year break. I don't want anyone to be sick, BUT this break was AWESOME. Gave us a little glimpse on how we will spend our summer days!! We've had 10 days off from school!!! We head back Monday, and we only have 15 days left. WOO-HOO!!!! The weather has been beautiful this week. Here's a peek of some of the things we did:

Ate LOTS of watermelon!!!!Went to play with grandma so mommy could go to lunch with her friends.

Went swimming and, of course, had popsicles each time!
Slept late!!!!!

We can't wait for summer to be here!!!

Mother of the Year

So, after today I think I'm pretty close to earning that award. HA!!! Gracie went to the nurse at school because her "tummy hurt." I thought she was probably faking. She knows if she gets sick at school and has to go home--she goes to Grandma's house. Anyway, I had her stay in my room with me, and then after a while of pure boredom (I wouldn't let her do anything), she decided she felt better and went back to her class. Well, at the end of the day she told me her ear was hurting, and I just thought she was making it up. I was wrong. (This is where I'm really earning that MOY award.) We got home. She went to sleep. I ran to Wal-Mart, and while I was there Kris called. He said Gracie had woken up, and was crying/screaming telling him how bad her ear hurt. I came home. Gracie went to the Urgent Care Center in College Station. Come to find out, she has a SEVERE ear infection, bulging eardrum and all. Nice hu?? The doc gave her an antibiotic and numbing drops, and told us not to stop giving her Tylenol for a couple of days. Poor baby. She just got over being sick!!! So, I feel like a terrible mother. Her tummy was probably hurting because her equilbrium is way off--AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

We just put her to bed- 10:00 on a school night. Not good. Tomorrow is her Easter Party at school. She wants to go SO bad, so she is going to school in the morning and Grandpa is picking her up at 11:00, after her hunt. I hope she feels much better in the morning and can enjoy her hunt.

Guess who has a loose tooth???

This little cutie pie!!!!

We are SO excited!!!! The tooth that is loose is one of her "two front teeth." She's going to look so stinkin' cute. We're hoping she loses it before cheer competition at Sea World in April!!!! HA!!!

And, doesn't she look so cute in all her cowgirl gear???? It was western day at school on Friday. Kindergarten did some very fun rodeo activities. Gracie really enjoyed it, but was wiped out at the end of the day!!! Being a cowgirl is tough work.

Gracie and her lunch...

One day last week mom made Gracie's lunch for her. Gracie said it was the best lunch ever! Mom pretty much packed the same kind of things that I normally do, but Gracie ate
"Grandma's lunch" MUCH better!! So, Gracie and mom decided that Grandma will be making the lunches for a while. Hilarious!!!! And let me tell you--Gracie is SO excited. She says that she and Grandma will discuss what to put in the lunch each night on their nightly phone calls to each other. So precious!

So sweet..

Emily insisted on wearing her pink hat in this pic. :-)
I just love dressing the girls in matching outfits!! We had to head to a birthday party Saturday morning, so I put the girls in their new outfits. (I've ordered them several matching outfits, and I just can't wait to get them. I am SO ready for spring!) I thought they looked so cute!! Though I should have watched some weather--it was chilly!!!! They spent most of the day indoors so it wasn't that big of a deal. After the party we headed to lunch and then to do some shopping. Friday is "western day" at school, so we had to get Gracie some cowgirl gear. Yee-haw!!!! And, of course, we couldn't get Gracie some boots without getting Emily a pair!! (Pics to come soon.) These two sweet girls are just growing up way too fast for us!!!!!!
FYI-Fajita Jacks in Montgomery is no bueno--don't waste your money!!!!
